We have been fooling ourselves by claiming ourselves as IT superpower.Only 3-4% of revenues of indian IT companies come from patents /products.Allmost all the revenues come from services.
One of the reasons we are not able to build products, win patents is lack of problem solving ability.

Few important things here-
1.We are not encouraged to ask questions. We are suppose to agree what teachers tell us or what books say.

2.When we solve mathematical problems ,steps are fixed and carry waightage. If you calculate by different method you lose marks.

3.Mistakes are condemned.Only way to find new ways by doing mistakes.

4.Intelligence Agencies in india do use different mechnisms but are not published as they are in US system

Seriously, we are know for our mathematical skills for ages........ and more recently as a IT superpower but then all this isn't used by our people to solve problems at home.......

If our education system is to be changed then privatization has to be encouraged........ nor arjun singh type folks will do...........moreover industry participation is very crucial....... isn't it ???
