Before a few days I got this mail from several people.

” Its very important news for all of you. Do not pick up calls from the Under
given numbers.

9888308001,
+91 9316048121,
9876266211,
9888854137,
9876715587 ,
These numbers will come in red color, if the call comes up from these
numbers.
Its with very high wave length, and frequency. If a call is received on
mobile from these numbers,
it creates a very high frequency and it causes brain ham range.
It’s not a joke rather, its TRUE. 27 persons died just on receiving calls
from these numbers.

This could not be further away from truth.

Take a look here for basic understanding of cell phone technology. All cell phone calls you or make use same frequency (or range of frequencies). Frequency on which the call is received has nothing to do with which number is calling you.

37 people dying is plain flat lie. There is some research going on about the dangers of radiation emitted by cell phone. A working cell phone close to your ears is like having a 1 or 2 Watts microwave oven close to your ears (by comparison the microwave in your kitchen is about 1500 Watts). So there might be some minor issues there. But so far any kind of claim in this subject is not backed up by scientific research.

People who start chain mails like this get a kick out of touching so many peoples’ lives and exerting control over people, even if it means spreading lies and misinformation.
